EKL17-40AFD: Compact protection device with arc detection

The EKL17-40AFD devices are single-module circuit breakers that can be integrated into existing busbar systems. They offer comprehensive protection in a single device – against overcurrent, short circuit, residual current, and series and parallel arcing. Available with B and C characteristics, they are ideal as a direct replacement for existing RCBOs in consumer units.

For which circuits can an AFDD be used?

AFDDs can be used in single-phase AC circuits with a voltage of 230 V or less, including ring circuits, spur circuits, etc. If an AFDD is used, it must be installed at the origin of the circuit to be protected.

Note:

  • The test arc current is the expected current before ignition occurs in the test circuit.
