The new Sungrow 3PH inverter with AFCI 40KW (SG40CX-P2) is a multi-MPPT string inverter for 1000 VDC systems. The new P2 series focuses on uniformity while offering significant innovation. The SG40CX-P2 features four MPPT trackers with EVO2 DC connectors for up to eight strings. Thanks to a 40 A DC input per MPPT, all power classes can be integrated.

The perfect choice for medium and large systems, such as those often used in commercial or agricultural applications.
PID recovery technology

The most important feature of the inverter is the PID Recovery technology, whereby the inverter builds up a counter potential in the module strings at night to reverse any PID.

PID

The connected PV/solar modules can be affected by potential-induced degradation (PID). PID is a long-term loss of PV/solar module performance due to leakage currents from the PV/solar module that flow through the module frame. The inverter generates a counter-potential at night to reverse the polarization, thus restoring the module's original performance.

Protection of the entire PV system

If the solar modules, cables, or connectors are incorrectly installed or damaged, arcing can occur, which can then lead to dangerous fires. The inverter is capable of detecting the arc and interrupting it at the circuit level, ensuring a smooth grid connection and superior power quality.
